Vice President of Chapter Development
Victoria Leigh Ward
Victoria Leigh Ward, 2016–2017 vice president of Chapter development, is a junior at Biola University. She studies public relations and minors in political science, Bible and Spanish. Reflecting upon her small town roots in Nevada, she now embraces the upbeat, diverse communities and opportunities of Los Angeles. Ward was actually introduced to PRSSA as a freshman by her friend and previous mentor, Immediate Past President Laura Daronatsy. Since then Ward has travelled hundreds of miles attending PRSSA meetings and conferences, actively leading the Biola PRSSA Chapter and meeting with professionals nationwide.
Her passion and commitment to PRSSA (specifically Chapter development) was evident throughout her time as a staff member for Biola’s Nationally Affiliated Student-run Firm, 6th St. PR Agency, during her freshman year and serving as vice president during her sophomore year.
As vice president of Chapter development, Ward seeks to enhance and personalize the outreach program for Chapter leaders, provide meaningful national development and leadership sessions that apply to Chapters of various sizes, and increase involvement for the FUNdraising Bowl and Community Service Initiative.
In her spare time, Ward pursues any music venue possible via Grammy U, her church worship team or even jam sessions with friends and family. She hopes to one day work in government relations or music law.
