Vice President of External Affairs

Rosa G. Ambriz

Rosa Ambriz, 2018–2019 vice president of external affairs, is a junior at Texas State University (TXST) studying public relations with a minor in computer science. As a first-generation college student, she is proud to be pursuing her education, especially in the areas of public relations and computer science, which are both lacking in diversity.

Ambriz discovered PRSSA just last year and began serving as the PRSSA 2018 National Conference Programs Director and has now earned a position on the National Committee.

Ambriz has held four internships in various positions. She has served as the administrative and marketing assistant at the AMM Collision Center and all-traditions coordinator at Texas State residence halls. Her passion in computer science then led to her position as a web analyst for the Texas State Pace Center. Ambriz will soon be interning with HBO Latin America this summer.

Ambriz was also recognized by Texas State by receiving the 2017 Texas State University Fighting Stallion Award.

During her free time, Ambriz likes to hide her head behind books, attend local events/workshops and heat up the dance floor on the weekends.

Ambriz is passionate about space exploration and immigrant rights. She is a member of The Planetary Society and translator for Mano Amiga.
