Vice President of Professional Development
Ashleigh White, vice president of professional development, is a senior at the University of South Florida. She majors in mass communications with a concentration in public relations. She is also completing certificates in visualization & design and undergraduate business. She is currently working on her own visualization and rebranding as Ashleigh Kathryn. After her time as a Bull, she hopes to pursue law school with the aspirations of working in the entertainment sector.
White joined PRSSA in Spring 2016 as a national member. She increased her role in PRSSA in the following fall by not only becoming an active member in KnoBull, USF’s student-run firm but by also attending the 2016 PRSSA National Conference. This conference opened her eyes to new possibilities and motivated her to run for the position of Firm Director in KnoBull.
Though her time has been short with KnoBull, she has helped the organization meet requirements and apply for National Affiliation, as well as work on new rebranding initiatives. She is sad to leave her organization but is excited to take what she has learned to expand the national initiatives of student-run firms and PRSSA members across the nation. There is nothing more rewarding to her than watching students develop both personally and professionally.
Aside from working with PRSSA and KnoBull, White is a very active leader on campus. She has helped to relaunch the USF Her Campus chapter as Campus Correspondent where she has had the opportunity to provide strategies for social media, writing and event coordination. She also works as the To Dragma Reporter for her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. Kathryn loves to take these opportunities to help leave an impact on all of her organizations.
When White is not at USF, she is making delicious coffee drinks at The Coffee House or watching the latest and greatest television show. She is a big film/tv buff and particularly favors those shows and movies made in the 90’s. She aspires to work on the next Dawson’s Creek or Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
