Visiting Nashville

Welcome to Music City; Nashville,Tenn., this year’s home for PRSSA’s International Conference. Nashville is known for being a city of industry, media and opportunity. Whether you’re interested in music, art, history, food, culture, or fashion, Music City will give everyone something to sing about. Nashville is accessible, friendly, and authentic, with diverse neighborhoods, a unique musical heritage, and a creative culture that pervades the city. No wonder Music City hosted 14.8 million visitors last year!

Nashville is the state capital of Tennessee and is home to nearly 2 million people and still growing. In fact, last year nearly 100 people per day moved to the Music City!

International Conference will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Conference Center. The Gaylord invites you to experience the energy and excitement of Music City. On the banks of the Cumberland River, Gaylord Opryland is just minutes from Nashville International Airport and a short drive or riverboat cruise from downtown Nashville. Gaylord Opryland has everything you need — all in one place.

The hotel lives up to its resort name with more than 2,800 stylish guest rooms with high-speed wireless internet access; a plethora of dining options from casual cuisine to world-class fine dining, a full-service spa, salon and fitness center featuring indoor and outdoor pools, unique shopping experiences, indoor/outdoor water experience and live entertainment. Guests will be in awe of the 9 acres of indoor gardens, cascading waterfalls and the indoor river with its own Delta flatboats beneath the glass roof. In addition, they will revel in the warm, personal service they will experience throughout their stay at Gaylord Opryland.

Visiting Nashville During Conference

We hope you are as excited as we are for the upcoming International Conference in Nashville!

While the Gaylord is home to everything you might need during your stay, we hope you will take some time to explore the city and enjoy our culture! Most of Nashville’s attractions are within 20-25 minutes of the Gaylord and the best way to get around is through ride-share services such as Lyft or Uber. Nashville offers an urban environment with the quaint feel of the South.

For our driving distance attendees, parking is $32 per night, per car at the hotel. Some free parking exists a short walking distance at the Grand Ole Opry, but please understand that you are parking at your own risk.

The Conference room block rate is $232 per night for singles, doubles, triples and quads rooms. The hotel room reservation deadline is September 22nd.

The average day temperature in Nashville in October ranges from 70—76 degrees, but the humidity can often make the days feel much hotter. Nights can be a bit chillier, near 38–44 degrees. We recommend bringing a light jacket or hoodie for nightlife activities.
