On September 22 from 5–7:15 p.m. EDT, please join PRSSA for 2021 Chapter Development Sessions. During these sessions you will learn from you fellow Chapter leaders. During the breaks between sessions you will also have a chance to chat/network with your peers.
This event is FREE! Traditionally, it’s been part of the PRSSA International Conference, but this year we are giving all Chapter leaders and general members the opportunity to learn from these sessions.
Chapter Development Sessions
Waynesburg University — Host Your Own PR Week
Each year, Waynesburg University’s PRSSA hosts a weeklong series of events with sessions with professional speakers, service initiatives, professional development workshops and more, known as PR Week. Waynesburg University PRSSA was one of the original Chapters to propose and facilitate a “PR Week” back in 2010 and since, has found that the hosted week of events has not only provided valuable opportunities for members, but raised awareness of the Chapter’s presence on campus. Waynesburg University PRSSA hopes to inspire other Chapters to implement a traditional piece of programming such as PR Week in order to increase Chapter engagement, participate in impactful service initiatives and build Chapter connections with members on-campus as well as professionals in the field across the globe.
Universidad de San Martín de Porres (USMP) — Organizing International Events during COVID-19
Over the course of the past year, Universidad de San Martín de Porres’s PRSSA hosted several, multi-day international events in a fully virtual format. After navigating and mastering virtual event planning for the Chapter’s international events, USMP PRSSA wants to provide the best strategies, tools and planning tactics to help other Chapters succeed in hosting virtual events. With their methodology, USMP PRSSA believes that any virtual event can not only be done successfully but bring forth a positive image and encourage teamwork in the Chapter.
DePaul University — “Survey Says”: Make Your PResence Known!
DePaul University PRSSA is ready to put a PR twist on the American game show, “Family Feud”. After the Chapter managed to stay relevant and see consistent member growth within the last year, DePaul University PRSSA hopes to bring light on how Chapters can increase brand presence of PRSSA on your college campus through this classic and interactive game show format.
Specific times, speakers and sessions are subject to change.
