Vice President of Brand Engagement
Catherine (Cat) Kalogeros, 2021-2022 vice president of brand engagement, is a junior at the University of Rhode Island pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. She is also double minoring in English Literature and Writing and Rhetoric.
Cat started out at URI as a Communications major looking for ways to hit the ground running in the field. Once Cat found PRSSA, she was hooked on PR. Cat added Public Relations as another major due to her dedication and involvement within URI’s Chapter. At the end of her first year as a PRSSA member, she took the chance to run for the executive board and become the Chapter’s Director of Events and Fundraising. This position gave her the opportunity to host a PRSSA District Conference in March 2021, a feat that she never would have imagined prior to her time as a Chapter leader. PRSSA broadened Cat’s horizons and ignited a deep passion for public relations. It is Cat’s hope that everyone will have this experience during their time as PRSSA members.
Aside from her PRSSA involvements, Cat is a sister of Chi Omega serving as Director of Career and Personal Development. She is also involved with many programs on-campus to assist with communications and public relations needs. Cat loves children and can be found teaching religious education, working at a daycare, and babysitting as much as possible in her free time.
Cat absolutely loves to read and hopes to one day work in the publishing or entertainment industry to further the stories of others. Cat also loves to showcase pictures of her two dogs, binge watch her favorite shows, go kayaking, and spend time in the city. She looks forward to connecting with PRSSA members across the country and sharing their stories through the Progressions blog and the PRSSA podcast. Please feel free to reach out to her at any point!
